Gecim was founded in 1988, having as main focus the selling and exclusive representation of Mold-Masters' hot runners in Portugal.

The main objective of its activity was to never be merely a product seller company, but to state its place in the market as a technological element.
The company privileged being a technological partner, providing polymer injection solutions in the hot runners area.

In 1997, a new business opportunity was identified within the same market, but in the area of hydraulics, and aiming to extend the range of solutions offered to its costumers, Gecim started the exclusive representation of VEGA's hydraulic/pneumatics products in Portugal.

In 2013, Gecim start a new partnership with DME for the Portuguese market. Together we expect to improve the DME presence in Portugal as to continue their tradition.

Having Gecim the partnership with Mold-Masters and DME and these being owned by Milacron group, in 2016 expanded to the injection machines activity, Ferromatik, in order to extend the strategy of Milacron in Portugal.

Gecim became a Milacron partner in Portugal for brands: Mold-Masters, DME and Ferromatik.
